Jason Kelce opened up about his “prank” during Sunday's divisional-round game between the Chiefs and Bills, and said his wife, Kylie Kelce, wasn't too happy about his shirtless adventure.
“I got caught up in the spell of the Bills Mafia,” the 36-year-old Philadelphia Eagles center said to the booze-fueled cheers at Arrowhead Stadium. There, he stole the spotlight while cheering on Travis Kelce in his star-studded suite.
“I don't know what I was expecting, but everyone was so excited to have a good time and enjoy their football,” Jason said on Wednesday's episode of Himself and Travis. Podcast “New Heights”.
“She doesn't think so.” [Kylie] I am glad to hear that. I warned Kylie. She said, “Jason, you don't have the courage.'' I said, “I'm not asking for permission. I'm doing this.''
“She's already told me to be on my best behavior because I'm going to meet Taylor.” [Swift].
Despite making national headlines for his wild celebration, it looks as if he made the perfect first impression on the “Cruel Summer” hitmaker.
“Tay told me he absolutely loves you,” revealed the Chiefs tight end, who has been dating the 12-time Grammy winner since last summer.
Jason's celebration went viral after CBS cameras captured him screaming and cheering in his brother's suite wearing only sweatpants and a beanie.
Kylie was also spotted talking to Kylie, who is currently on hiatus from her “Ellas'' tour, which will resume in February.
When asked why his brother jumped out of the VIP box without a shirt on, Jason admitted that he originally wanted to take his top off earlier at the tailgate.
“But I couldn't take my shirt off outside because I was pushed back in front of the tailgate,” Jason said. “And when I got to the box, I realized I could pop out of the box. And once I got out, I was part of the Bills' glamorous party.”
“Something happened that day. I was under the spell of the Bills Mafia. Electricity. Energy, pranks. I was like, 'I have to take my shirt off.' ”
“I wanted to stay there long enough for my nipples to get hard,” he joked, admitting he couldn't remember what happened to his shirt at the end of the match.
“This is how my brain works after drinking 40 bottles of Miller Lites,” he joked.
Jason had a lot to celebrate as the 34-year-old Travis and the Chiefs clinched their ticket to the AFC Championship Game for the sixth straight year with Sunday's 27-24 win over the Bills.
Reflecting on his brother's “pure mayhem”, Travis said his brother's “retirement plan should be tailgating” when he eventually hangs up his spikes for good.
Last week, Jason's celebratory antics made headlines after rumors of him retiring after the Eagles' wild-card loss to the Buccaneers.
