Jason Pierre-Paul appears fit as former Giants player aims to return to the NFL

Jason Pierre-Paul hasn’t ruled out a return to the NFL. He’s putting in the work to hit the field again, despite being away for two seasons.

The former Giants defensive end and two-time Super Bowl champ has been sharing videos of his workouts since late April, showcasing impressive muscle tone.

In an interview with TMZ on Monday, he mentioned that he’s back to his playing weight of 270 pounds.

At 36, he claims he’s moving like he’s 24 years old again.

“I have abs!” he exclaimed, sharing that he hasn’t seen a defined midsection since his rookie season, highlighting the effort he’s putting in.

Pierre-Paul was drafted 15th overall by the Giants in 2010 and contributed to their Super Bowl victory just a year later.

During his eight years with the team, he made two Pro Bowls in 2011, faced a life-changing incident when he lost part of his index finger in 2015, and recorded a career-high of 16 sacks in the same year before the fireworks mishap.

He spent another two seasons with the Giants before being traded to the Buccaneers for a draft pick in 2018.

In Tampa, he had three solid seasons and earned a Pro Bowl selection in 2020, as the team captured Tom Brady’s first Super Bowl there.

However, Pierre-Paul has struggled recently, totaling only 5.5 sacks over the last three seasons.

His last stint included a year with the Ravens in 2022, followed by a split season in 2023 with the Saints and Dolphins over three games.

Despite these challenges, Pierre-Paul is confident he can regain his prime form, asserting to TMZ that he “still got it.”

“Anyone who gives me the opportunity,” he said. “I’m ready to go and ready to lock in now.”
