Jasson Dominguez of the Yankees achieves a remarkable 3-home run game

Jasson Dominguez Makes History with Yankees

Friday night was one to remember for Jasson Dominguez. As the New York Yankees’ top prospect, he showcased exactly why the team promoted him at just 16 years old. Now at 22, Dominguez achieved a significant milestone by becoming the youngest Yankee to hit three home runs in a game, this time against the Athletics in Sacramento.

This historic feat came with an interesting twist. Dominguez hit homers from both sides of the plate during the game. He launched the first home run from the left side in the third inning, followed by another one from the right side in the seventh, then capped off the night with a grand slam from the left in the eighth inning.

With this achievement, Dominguez joined the ranks of MLB legends like Mickey Mantle and Eddie Murray, becoming the 16th player in history to hit three homers in one game with at least one from each side of the plate. It hadn’t happened since 2018 when Aaron Hicks did it as a Yankee.

Other Yankees who have achieved this milestone include Tom Tresh, Roy White, and Mark Teixeira. Dominguez’s right-handed home run was particularly exciting for Yankees fans, especially considering how well he performs as a left-handed hitter, boasting a .319 average and .943 OPS from that side. However, from the right side, his performance has been, well, a bit less stellar at just .128.

The Yankees secured a decisive 10-2 victory, and with Dominguez’s impressive performance, they continue to solidify their position in the AL East. Fans are eagerly looking forward to what’s next as the team returns to action against the Athletics on Saturday.
