On Friday night, the Martians put on quite a show.
Jasson Dominguez faced the A’s in West Sacramento, California, and he really made his mark, hitting a total of four home runs over eight innings.
It all kicked off when he launched a solo homer in his first at-bat, batting left-handed. Later, he belted another solo shot in the seventh, but the highlight came in the eighth. With the bases loaded against reliever Elvis Alvarado, he hit a grand slam, soaring it into the bullpen in right field at Sutter Health Park.
Interestingly, he also notched a sacrifice fly, ending the night with an impressive seven RBIs in those eight innings, making his performance even more remarkable.
According to MLB statistics analyst Sarah Langs, at just 22 years and 91 days old, Dominguez became the youngest player in Yankees history. Quite an achievement, right?
