Jackson Dart provided fans with a glimpse into what it’s like to be at the NBA Finals.
He shared an Instagram Story featuring Giants teammate Brian Burns and comedian Pete Davidson while watching Game 1 between the Knicks and Spurs from his suite at Frostbank Center.
The video started with Dart capturing the action on the court during a key moment in the fourth quarter, where Jalen Brunson made a crucial pull-up jump shot.
This shot ignited excitement among Knicks fans, including Dart, who panned his camera to capture the energetic scene in the suite, with numerous fans cheering and jumping around.
He also caught Burns, a three-time Pro Bowler, energetically celebrating. Davidson appeared in the background with a big smile.
Brunson’s shot expanded the Knicks’ lead to 101-95, ultimately helping them secure a 105-95 victory, giving them a 1-0 series lead.
Dart, Burns, and Davidson enjoyed witnessing Brunson’s impressive performance in the fourth quarter, which helped the Knicks overcome a 14-point deficit earlier in the game and achieve their 12th consecutive playoff win.
This appearance at the Finals follows a busy few weeks for Dart as he prepares for his second season with the Giants.
Earlier in May, he faced criticism after introducing Donald Trump to an audience at Rockland Community College, a move that sparked backlash, even among teammates.
In a now-deleted post, Abdul Khater expressed disappointment, suggesting it seemed inauthentic, but later clarified that they had resolved their differences after discussing things privately.
Dart held a locker room meeting to address the situation, but Carter couldn’t attend due to family commitments related to the Islamic holiday of Eid al-Adha.
Other teammates like Barnes, Kayvon Thibodeau, and Jameis Winston also spoke during that meeting.
Reflecting on the Trump encounter, Dart called it “a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity,” while acknowledging the sensitivity around political discussions.
He added that as the Giants’ quarterback, he feels a significant responsibility that comes with his position.
Game 2 will take place in San Antonio on Friday night before the series moves to New York.
