Jaxson Dart from the Giants criticizes the shooting of Charlie Kirk

In a recent social media update, Jackson Dart expressed his outrage over the shocking political violence that happened on the Utah Valley University campus, describing the assassination of Turning Point USA founder Charlie Kirk as “disgusting” and “sad.”

Kirk, who was only 31, was tragically shot in the neck during a question-and-answer segment at an outdoor event as part of an American comeback tour.

Dart, the rookie quarterback for the Giants, shared his condolences in a series of Instagram Stories, offering prayers for Kirk’s family.

“Praying for him and his family,” he wrote, along with a grieving emoji. “Charlie did great things for our country!! Political violence has to stop!! Please pray for our country. This is all just so upsetting.”

In another post, he added, “May God watch over him and his family!” while also sharing content from the Team Trump account on Instagram.

Dart included a photo of Kirk with his wife Erika and their two kids, along with another image featuring a biblical poem Erika shared on X shortly before her husband’s death.

While commenting on the incident, Dart said, “This is beyond sickening! Absolutely fed up with it!” He later deleted that particular Instagram Story, as reported.

Dart hails from Caysville, Utah, which is not too far from the university campus in Orem.

Chief kicker Harrison Butker also shared his thoughts on social media, thanking Kirk for his witness as a Christian and for his guidance as a father. He offered a prayer for eternal rest for Kirk, emphasizing his impact on many.

The Yankees took a moment of silence in Kirk’s honor before their game against the Bronx Tigers.

Kirk was fatally shot from about 200 yards away with a long gun.

The conservative activist was rushed to a local hospital and underwent surgery but ultimately did not survive.

As of Wednesday night, the FBI confirmed that a suspect is in custody, although details about their identity and motive are still unclear.
