Jackson Dart Leads Giants to Victory

Kara Dart was in high spirits on Thursday night, watching her son, Jackson Dart, the quarterback for the New York Giants, guide his team to a win against the Philadelphia Eagles, who are the reigning Super Bowl champions.

In this 34-17 victory, the rookie quarterback completed 17 of his 25 passes for 195 yards, throwing one touchdown and also scoring on the ground. Impressively, he became the first Giants rookie quarterback to triumph over the Eagles since Travis Tidwell back in 1950.

Carla and Brandon Dart were there to support their son as he participated in Amazon Prime Video’s postgame show alongside fellow rookie Cam Skatebo. During the interview, Carissa Thompson mentioned Jackson’s polite demeanor and asked Carla how it felt to see him succeed at MetLife Stadium.

“Honestly, I get a bit emotional,” Carla shared. “When you have a child who puts in so much effort and has such big dreams, you hope for moments like this. Seeing him achieve what he’s always wanted is really something special.”

Brandon Dart added that their son had shown confidence in his team’s chances of winning, saying he believes in his coaches and teammates and was set on improvement.

Last week, Carla Dart gained attention when the Giants faced off against the New Orleans Saints. She, a fitness program director and a Utah native, had also shared with People how Jackson’s foot injury in 2019 prompted him to rethink his approach to athletics.

Jackson has acknowledged his mother’s input on his fashion choices as well, a relationship they both seem to cherish.

“My mom was really into it and gave me the freedom to choose what I liked,” he recounted in an interview. “It’s helped me express myself in ways I really enjoy.”
