Jaylen Brown’s Nike feud continues over Giannis Antetokounmpo post

Jaylen Brown and Nike's feud continues.

The Celtics star fired back after a sportswear brand appeared to attack him while celebrating Bucks star Giannis Antetokounmpo's 59-point performance in Wednesday's win over the Pistons.

“There's nothing childish about them. 59 for Greek Freaks,” Nike posted on X.

Antetokounmpo has a shoe contract with Nike.

“Yale got a weird energy,” Brown wrote to X, including Nike's post in the message.

Nike's message was a clear reference to Brown's words. “Giannis is a kid.” After Boston defeated Milwaukee 113-107 on Nov. 10.

Brown's comments were in reference to events in the second quarter. Antetokounmpo elbowed Brown in the face. while attempting a layup.

Following the news that teammate Derrick White had been named to the Olympic roster in place of Clippers star Kawhi Leonard, Brown said at the time: called Nike, Asked who designed the 2024 Olympic uniforms, another post asked: “Is this what we're doing?”

Brown, who is not a Nike athlete, did not elaborate further afterward, but suggested that Nike, a longtime Olympic sponsor, was behind the team's exclusion.

In 2022, Brown publicly criticized Nike's ethics.
