Vice President Vance to Attend Memorial Service for Charlie Kirk

Reports indicate that Vice President J.D. Vance, along with second lady Usha Vance, will be traveling to Phoenix, Arizona, on Air Force Two, joined by Charlie Kirk’s case. Sources close to the situation confirmed this arrangement.

Prior to his departure, Vance met with Kirk’s family in Utah. He took to social media to share a heartfelt tribute to Kirk, reflecting on their nearly ten-year friendship.

“He was more than just a thinker; he was an activist. He made big ideas a reality, rallying thousands of people,” Vance wrote, noting Kirk’s support and prayers for him, especially in light of the 2024 presidential race.

Vance highlighted Kirk’s unwavering faith in Jesus Christ and reminisced about their meaningful discussions on religious beliefs.

“Charlie was genuinely passionate about his faith. We often talked about the differences between Catholicism and Protestantism,” he shared.

Kirk passed away while fully engaged in what he loved—openly discussing ideas, even in challenging environments. Someone noted that Kirk’s commitment shone as he faced difficult crowds, always encouraging dialogue.

He illustrated the core principles of our Republic—being open to discussing ideas, even when met with hostility.

On Thursday, President Donald Trump announced plans to posthumously honor Kirk with the Presidential Medal of Freedom, the highest civilian award.

“Our thoughts are with his lovely wife, Erica, and their wonderful children. We feel his absence deeply, but his courage has inspired many, particularly the youth,” Trump stated.

“I am excited to share that Charlie Kirk will soon receive the Presidential Medal of Freedom posthumously. Details on the ceremony will follow, but one thing is certain.”
