Speaking at his second rally of the day, vice presidential candidate J.D. Vance renewed his call for Democrats to invoke the 25th Amendment to the Constitution following President Biden’s announcement on Monday that he was dropping out of the presidential race.

“If Joe Biden is unfit to run for president, does anyone acknowledge that he is unfit to serve as president of the United States?,” Vance asked the crowd. “And if Kamala Harris is too blind or corrupt to acknowledge to the American people that Joe Biden should never have been president, then she is unfit to serve either. We must get these two out of office.”

Vance went on to add that he, like everyone else, was shocked to learn that Biden had dropped out of the race.

“My wife just told me that Joe Biden has decided to drop out of the presidential race. You’re all excited. I was actually looking forward to debating Kamala Harris,” Vance said. “I was promised I would debate Kamala Harris, and I intend to make that happen.”

Vance argued that Harris is an even worse person than Biden and that making her the presidential nominee would be dangerous.

“Joe Biden is not just a loser, he will be remembered in history as one of the worst presidents of the United States of America. But my friends, Kamala Harris is a million times worse, and everyone knows it,” Vance explained.

“She endorsed all of Joe Biden’s failures and lied about his mental fitness to be president. Our country has been saddled with a president who can’t do his job for three and a half years, and it’s all because Kamala Harris and other Democrats lied about Biden being incompetent to be president. I believe we should oust them all in November and replace them with people who care about this country,” Vance said.

Vance further pointed to Harris and her failure to secure the border.

“Believe it or not, Harris is actually more radical than Biden. She wants to completely decriminalize illegal immigration.” “She supports abolishing ICE and she wants to defund the police. Even Joe Biden hasn’t gone so far as to say he wants to defund the police,” Vance said.

“There’s no way I can sit here and say Joe Biden’s policies have worked, which means we have to get Kamala Harris out of the Oval Office. We shouldn’t give her a chance,” Vance urged.

Vance reiterated that what is happening to the Democratic Party is a threat to democracy.

“Democrats threw out 14 million votes to deny Kamala Harris the election, and now they’re trying to elect Kamala Harris while billionaires, Barack Obama and Nancy Pelosi make the decisions for Democratic voters. This is a disgrace, and this corrupt and dysfunctional process is a threat to American democracy,” Vance said.

Vance offered the crowd an open invitation to join the Republican Party, where their vote will matter and be heard.

“If you’re a Democratic primary voter, they don’t care about you, because they don’t care who you voted for. If you’re a Democrat and you see this corrupt election process, I invite you to join the Republican Party. We want to make America great again. We believe in elections. We believe in persuading voters. We don’t believe in lying for three and a half years and then making excuses,” Vance said.
