DNC to run anti-Trump banners at battleground state college football games as Harris' approval rating falls

Vance is known to be a college football fan, but he doesn't root for any North Carolina teams. An Ohio native and Ohio State graduate, Vance is a lifelong Buckeyes fan.

Vance previously said that when Trump selected him as his running mate in November, he told him his loyalty to the Buckeyes could affect Trump's chances of winning in Michigan.

“When he first asked me to be his vice president, I thought, 'Oh, I hope I don't lose Michigan by like 900 votes, because I'm going to regret it, because the only people who aren't going to vote for the Buckeyes are probably 1,000 angry Wolverines fans.'

“But I think the majority of Michiganders can put sports rivalries aside and put country first, which, obviously, is what we all believe is most important,” Vance said during an appearance on Outkick. “The Clay Travis and Buck Sexton Show”

Vance suggested he and Trump visit Ohio State University's Ohio Stadium to watch the Ohio State vs. Michigan game on November 30.

“Well, if I win, I'll go see the Ohio State vs. Michigan game. As the vice president-elect, I'll have some pretty good tickets and it'll be a celebratory mood,” Vance said on Outkick. “And it's going to be a big game this year.”

“I think this will determine the final College Football Playoff rankings. So, now both teams could make the playoff. Michigan hasn't been ranked that high this year, but they're always a good team, so you never know. So, we'll see what happens. I'm really excited about the Buckeyes. I'm really excited about the Bengals.”
