JD Vance marches up to reporters avoided by Harris outside Air Force 2 and drops a great line

Vice President Kamala Harris’ last in-depth interaction with reporters was on MSNBC’s “Morning Joe” on June 24.

Harris has avoided substantive interviews in the weeks since, despite a number of historic events that would have voters eager to hear from her.

First, the Democratic establishment acknowledged President Joe Biden’s weakness and then aborted his reelection campaign, Harris leapfrogged the rest of Biden’s political career to choose a running mate who is now facing allegations of “stolen heroism,” President Donald Trump was shot in an assassination attempt, and Iran and Israel are heading toward war.

President Trump’s running mate, Sen. J.D. Vance (R-Ohio), seized the opportunity this week to again draw a sharp contrast with the current vice president, demonstrating similar comfort with engaging with the fourth estate.

Harris and her new running mate, Minnesota Gov. Tim Walz, were in Eau Claire, Wisconsin, on a campaign trip on Wednesday. Vance, who was also in the area for a rally, noticed Air Force Two parked on the runway at Chippewa Valley Regional Airport, not far from where they were to land.

“Hopefully within a few months it will be my plane.”

Vance was surrounded by U.S. Secret Service agents.
Marched Harris ignored a group of reporters gathered nearby.

“I thought I’d go and get a good look at the plane because it could be my plane in a few months,” Vance said, “but I also thought people might be feeling lonely because the vice president hasn’t answered reporters’ questions, and hasn’t for 17 days.”

Vance pressed Harris about her relative silence, asking, “Has there been any explanation for why Ms. Harris won’t take questions from reporters?”

“I want her to explain what she wants to do and why she’s changed every single one of her positions,” Vance continued. “She pretends to be a tough-on-crime prosecutor, but she wants to defund the police. She’s a border czar, but she opened up America’s southern border.”

“She is the one who has to answer questions from the media and for her to run away from you is a disgrace and an insult to the American people,” Vance added, before slowly walking back down the runway.

The Ohio senator later gave further details about X.
Focus on it“I thought the reporters accompanying her might be feeling a little lonely because Kamala wasn’t answering their questions, so I came over to say hello and take a look at the new plane.”

Underlined Unlike Harris, he said, he and Trump “will go anywhere. We respect the American people, so we’ll answer any question because we actually ask them to vote, rather than sitting in front of a teleprompter, reading from a script and running away from all the reporters and the actual people who are going to decide this election.”
