President Biden's recent declaration that the Equal Rights Amendment (ERA) has become the “law of the land” drew ridicule in the final days of his presidency. Mr. Biden is also not immune to insults from Vice President-elect J.D. Vance.
Vance responded to Biden's proclamation in a post on X, joking that Biden should induct disgraced MLB icon Pete Rose into the Baseball Hall of Fame.
“Hey, Joe, if we're faking it — could you please declare Pete Rose a Hall of Famer on the way out?” Vance wrote. “See you in two days!”
Rose, who died in September, was permanently banned from MLB for illegal gambling.
