Vance Reflects on UFO Phenomena and Spirituality
This week, Vice President J.D. Vance opened up about the ongoing mystery surrounding UFOs, suggesting that some unexplained occurrences might be connected to “spiritual forces” that impact the physical realm.
In a podcast discussion with New York Post columnist Miranda Devine, Vance mentioned that he hasn’t fully delved into the matter yet but is keen on exploring it further. “I can’t afford to be too busy to get to the truth. I’m determined to get to the truth,” he stated.
The vice president noted that conversations about unidentified anomalous phenomena (UAPs) often arise between him and Secretary of State Marco Rubio, highlighting their mutual interest in the subject.
“Marco is actually very interested in this as well,” Vance shared. “We’ve talked about this back in the Senate. There’s definitely interest, but we haven’t found the time to really dive in yet. Things have been pretty hectic. Still, we all indulge in those ‘tinfoil hat’ moments occasionally.”
Devine brought up that Director of National Intelligence Tulsi Gabbard has expressed an openness to the idea of extraterrestrial life, prompting Vance to frame his thoughts around faith and the mysterious. “I’m not claiming to believe or not believe,” he remarked. “I truly think there are things out there that defy explanation. Others might see aliens; I might see angels or demons. I have faith that there are spiritual forces at play that many people are unaware of.”
He elaborated, saying, “I do believe there are spiritual forces at work in the physical world that many of us cannot see or grasp.”
Vance prefers to approach the unknown from a perspective of faith rather than fear. “Whether it’s aliens, guardian angels, or malevolent forces, I honestly don’t know,” he noted. “My goal is to pray, be a good person, and do my job well. I hope that’s enough.” He also recalled earlier comments made on the Ruthless podcast, where he expressed a strong personal interest in uncovering the truth behind these phenomena.
“What is really going on? What was that video about? I’m still trying to figure it out, and it’s been six months,” he said.
Vance’s comments come amid rising interest in UFOs, or UAPs, in Washington. Recently, Rep. Jared Moskowitz (D-Fla.) accused the federal government of hiding information regarding UAP sightings, emphasizing the need for more transparency, especially from military whistleblowers who might hold credible insights.
“I’m not entirely sure what the truth is,” Moskowitz stated during hearings. “But we can definitely recognize when we are being deceived.”
The session featured compelling testimony and previously unseen footage from Yemen, showing a drone strike on a fast-moving “sphere” that appeared to survive the assault. Congressman Eric Burleson (R-Mo.) introduced this footage, while lawmakers of both parties questioned whether defense and intelligence agencies have been holding back information on unexplained aerial events.
The bipartisan committee led by Rep. Anna Paulina Luna (R-Fla.) supported Moskowitz’s call for increased integrity from the Pentagon, highlighting the importance of declassifying relevant materials and protecting whistleblowers who report UAP encounters.
During this meeting, Vance referred to Rubio as a “best friend” within the administration and brushed off speculation about a potential 2028 ticket as “premature.” “It feels premature,” he said. “If we focus on the essentials, I believe politics will take care of itself.”
Vance concluded, “I don’t wake up each day thinking, ‘How can I be president of the United States?’ Instead, I think, ‘How can I excel as vice president?’”
