John Elway’s Longtime Agent Jeff Sperbeck Passes Away

Jeff Sperbeck, the longtime agent of NFL Hall of Famer John Elway, has died at the age of 62. His death, reported as stemming from accidental blunt force trauma to the head, occurred following a disturbing incident involving a golf cart.

Sperbeck fell from the back of a golf cart that Elway was driving in La Quinta, California, on April 26. Unfortunately, he struck his head on the asphalt. Elway quickly called 911, and when paramedics arrived, they found Sperbeck unconscious yet breathing. He was taken to Desert Regional Medical Center in Palm Springs, where he succumbed to his injuries four days later.

Authorities stated that foul play was not suspected in this tragic event. They noted that Elway did not appear to be under the influence of alcohol at the time of the incident.

Riverside County Sheriff Chad Bianco commented on the situation: “It’s not uncommon for medical professionals to alert us after an accident if something seems off. In this case, it did.”

Elway’s attorney, Harvey Steinberg, expressed his condolences, stating that it is a difficult time for everyone involved and that their thoughts are with the Sperbeck family. He emphasized the sorrow Elway feels over this unexpected loss and appreciated the investigation conducted by local authorities, reaffirming that it was truly an unfortunate accident.

The family has described Jeff as a wonderful father, husband, son, sibling, and friend, cherished by many.
