Review of the Jets after losing 19-9 at home to the Rams on Sunday.
offense
The Jets moved the ball with some efficiency (321 total yards) but couldn't score, which was their goal. The Jets had three drives of 14 plays or more and never punted, yet somehow managed to get away with just nine points. Let's think about it.
The Jets did not punt once in the game and scored just nine points. QB Aaron Rodgers (28-of-42, 256 yards, 1 TD, 91 rating, 1 fumble) didn't play poorly, but he couldn't make big plays when the Jets needed him. His fumble in the fourth quarter gave the Rams a chance for a go-ahead touchdown.
Despite the frigid temperatures at MetLife Stadium, the Jets ran the ball just 20 times compared to 44 dropbacks.

defense
The Jets defense played better than it has of late. Tony Adams made the interception, his third in two games.
The Jets held the Rams' passing game to 110 yards. Puka Nacua had 56 receiving yards and Cooper Kupp had 24 receiving yards.
RB Kyren Williams (23 rushes, 122 yards, 1 TD) had a good day running the ball, but the Jets defense played well enough to win the game.

special teams
This group has seen better days. Kicker Anders Karlsson missed extra points and field goals, continuing the Jets' tendency to struggle kicking all season.
Punt returner Xavier Gipson committed a fumble in the final minutes of the game, clinching the loss for the Jets. It was a boring day for punter Thomas Morstead, who didn't make a single punt in the game.

coaching
Interim coach Jeff Ulbrich seems to be in “what the heck” mode, trying just about everything. He had some very questionable fourth-down calls Sunday, including going for a shot from his own 33 in the second quarter.

Play-caller Todd Downing had some good moments in the game, especially on a 99-yard drive to start the game. Play-calling in the red zone remains an issue, but it's unclear how much of it is Downing or how much Rodgers is changing plays.
This Jets staff is just counting down the days until the end of the season, and it's hard to blame them.
