Jeff Ulbrich disagreed with Source Gardner.
Days after Gardner said his teammates “checked out” in Sunday's 40-14 loss to the Bills, the Jets' interim head coach offered a different take.
“I watched the tape a lot,” Ulbrich said Friday. “I really did, and not because of his comments, but I watched the tape closely because that's what you do in times like this. Like I said before, adversity is a gift and it really reveals a human being. And I watched this tape intently, especially when the score went crazy, and I couldn't see anything, I couldn't see anything. I didn't.
“I didn't see a single guy tap. I didn't see a single guy break. I didn't. That's my take.”
Gardner missed Sunday's final game against the Dolphins due to a hamstring injury.
Tyler Conklin, Morgan Moses, Ariya Berra-Tucker and Quinnen Williams are questionable.

The Jets will likely not face Tua Tagovailoa as they look to ruin the Dolphins' playoff hopes.
Dolphins head coach Mike McDaniel said Friday that Tagovailoa is listed as questionable and is unlikely to play Sunday due to a hip injury.
Tagovailoa was injured in the Dolphins' loss to the Texans in Week 16 and missed the Dolphins' win over the Browns in Week 17.
Tyler Huntley is expected to make his fifth start of the season in Tagovailoa's place.
In the Dolphins' 32-26 win over the Jets in Week 13, Tagovailoa completed 33 of 47 passes for 331 yards and two touchdowns.
In four starts this year, Huntley completed 66.3 percent of his passes for 602 yards, two touchdowns and one interception, while also rushing for 119 yards and two more touchdowns on the ground.
With the Dolphins' victory in Week 13, they officially eliminated the Jets from the playoffs, marking the team's 14th consecutive year without a playoff appearance.
The Jets can repay the favor and knock the Dolphins out of the playoffs with a win on Sunday.
Miami needs a win and a loss to the Broncos to make the playoffs.
