A former model and Jeffrey Epstein accuser claims that prominent psychiatrist Henry Jarecki, a friend of the notorious financier, raped her rather than treat her symptoms of depression, according to a new lawsuit filed in New York federal court.
In addition to his medical career, the 91-year-old Jarecki is also a longtime Yale professor, author, co-founder of MovieFone and billionaire metals trader.
The woman came to the US as a model in 2010 and quickly came under Epstein’s wing. Epstein told the young woman that his wealthy friend Jarecki was “the best doctor in New York” and introduced her to him to evaluate her mental health.
The meetings led to years of modern-day sexual slavery, according to court documents.

“During this initial appointment, Jarecki told Jane Doe 11 he had something that would make her instantly happy,” the lawsuit states. “However, instead of prescribing medication, Jarecki gifted her an expensive watch.”
According to the lawsuit, he then forced her to his home in Manhattan’s Gramercy Park neighborhood and “raped her against her will” in a bedroom.
The woman, identified in court documents as Jane Doe 11, said the doctor ” [her] Mental distress. “

According to the lawsuit, he exerted increasing control over her life, eventually moving her into an apartment he owned where he could watch her around the clock.
Jarecki learned everything he could about Jane Doe 11, including her financial and immigration status, and used that knowledge to manipulate and completely control her, coercing her into becoming his modern-day sex slave.

“Jarecki obtained every piece of information he could about Jane Doe 11, including her financial and immigration status, and used that knowledge to manipulate and completely control her, coercing her into becoming his modern-day sex slave,” the lawsuit states.
He gave her a landline phone and threatened to “punish” her if she didn’t answer it when it rang, and would call her after 10pm if the lights were on in the house.

According to the lawsuit, he told Jane Doe 11 that her $5,700 per month rent would be covered by sex acts, an agreement she never agreed to, but which was “a contract unilaterally crafted by Jarecki as a means to traffic her.”
The lawsuit claims Doe was raped “dozens of times” in New York City and then trafficked to a private Caribbean island to be further abused, including being forced to have sex with other men.

At another point, Jarecki told Doe, in front of his wife, that he “needed to start a threesome with him and another young woman,” according to the lawsuit.

To remain legal in the immigration process, Doe had to continue working to meet visa requirements and pay legal fees, but Jarecki allegedly ordered her to refuse work.
When she didn’t meet his demands, he allegedly revoked her visa, sent her back to Epstein and threatened to end her career.
Jarecki’s lawyer did not immediately respond to a request for comment.

In a statement to Reuters, she denied Doe’s allegations.
“The allegations will be proven to be completely false and without merit,” Manhattan attorney Sarita Kedia told the outlet. “Dr. Jarecki has not engaged in any abusive conduct towards Plaintiff or any other person.”
