On Wednesday, MSNBC host Jen Psaki created a stir during her show when she referred to President Donald Trump as a “predator,” before quickly retracting her comment.
While discussing newly unearthed emails from convicted sex offender Jeffrey Epstein with Rep. Robert Garcia from California, Psaki initially stated there were “predators” associated with Epstein, including Trump. However, she quickly corrected herself, saying, “Not really. I’m not saying he is. We don’t know all the details about it.”
She further elaborated that, in addition to what has come to light about Epstein, there are other predators that exist.
Garcia affirmed her point during their conversation. Meanwhile, Fox News Digital did reach out to Psaki for a comment, but she had not replied at the time.
On the preceding day, members of the House Oversight and Government Reform Committee disclosed a significant number of documents connected to Epstein, who took his own life in 2019. Notably, these emails mentioned Trump.
One of the emails, dated 2011, was sent from Epstein to Ghislaine Maxwell, claiming that Trump had spent considerable time at his residence with one of his victims, whose identity has been withheld—though the White House suggested it was Virginia Giuffre.
In fact, Epstein mentioned in the email, “The dog that isn’t barking is Trump. [VICTIM] There was never any mention of spending hours with him at my house.”
During the same interview, Garcia suggested that the emails illustrated a closer bond between Trump and Epstein than the former president has admitted. He accused Trump of concealing details of the Epstein case to protect himself and others associated with Epstein’s alleged abuse of young girls.
Garcia voiced his concern, stating, “We want to know the truth. But right now, we have powerful men who are raping girls and walking free with no consequences.” He criticized Trump for allegedly hiding facts related to the case and holding the Justice Department responsible for similar actions.
In response to these allegations, the White House accused Democratic representatives of leaking emails to tarnish Trump’s reputation.
White House Press Secretary Caroline Leavitt told Fox News Digital that “Democrats selectively leaked emails to liberal media outlets in order to create a false narrative to smear President Trump.” She added that the unnamed victim in the emails was Virginia Giuffre, asserting that Trump has consistently claimed he was not engaged in any misconduct and described his interactions with her as friendly. Leavitt also highlighted that Trump had expelled Epstein from his club years ago for making female employees uncomfortable.
