Jenna Sims Marks Brooks Koepka’s Return to the PGA Tour

Jenna Sims is celebrating her husband Brooks Koepka’s return to the PGA Tour after a stint on the LIV Golf Circuit.

Just hours after the five-time major champion announced his comeback, Sims posted a video on Instagram showcasing Koepka back at the PGA Tour headquarters in Ponte Vedra Beach, Florida. “They don’t know yet, but we’re about to find out his first game back on the PGA Tour,” she captioned the clip, featuring Koepka in a golf cart.

The PGA Tour confirmed Koepka’s return through its Returning Member Program, which offers a pathway back for elite players who have stepped away from the tour.

Having left LIV Golf in December, Koepka meets the eligibility requirements of the PGA Tour, which includes winning a major or the Players Championship between 2022 and 2025. He’s notably the champion of the 2023 PGA Championship.

Koepka will kick off his first PGA Tour appearance since 2022 at the Farmers Insurance Open later this month, having agreed to the program’s terms. However, he hasn’t earned any equity from the player equity program for the last five years, potentially losing out on $50 million to $85 million, and he will not receive payments from the FedExCup bonus this season.

Additionally, Koepka is expected to make a $5 million charitable donation, though the recipient is yet to be announced.

Reflecting on his return, Koepka mentioned, “There was no negotiation.” He talked about meeting with PGA Tour CEO Brian Rolup, acknowledging the difficult emotions surrounding his decision. “It’s meant to hurt, and it certainly hurts, but I understand. It’s not going to be an easy road,” he noted, recognizing that many were affected by his departure.

As he prepares for his first PGA event back, Koepka admitted feeling “a little nervous.” He noted, “There’s a lot going on, not just golf. There’s media relations, player relations and some tough conversations.” He expressed eagerness despite the mixed feelings: “Am I nervous? Yes. Am I excited? Yes. In a weird way, that’s the kind of conversation I want to have.”

Koepka plans to play at Torrey Pines with family support by his side. Sims has been a constant presence at his events, like the Alfred Dunhill Links Championship in Scotland last October, where they brought their 2-year-old son, Crewe.

The couple is also set to celebrate their fourth wedding anniversary in June.
