Jena Sims Claps Back at Online Trolls

Jena Sims isn’t afraid to stand up for herself amid online criticism.

The wife of Brooks Koepka, a star returning to the PGA Tour, shared her thoughts on Instagram Thursday, responding to negative comments about her recent post. In it, she was wearing a bikini, discussing the health benefits of a month without alcohol.

One user remarked, “Wow, how could your husband let you be online like this??” To which the Sports Illustrated swimsuit model replied, “I found a swimsuit that doesn’t require permission 😘.”

Koepka, at 35, and Sims, who is 37, married in 2022 and have consistently supported each other in their respective careers.

Sims has been a strong advocate for Koepka, who is known for his five major championships, while he has reciprocated that support throughout her journey with SI Swim.

In 2022, Koepka made headlines by joining LIV Golf, alongside names like Phil Mickelson and Dustin Johnson. However, by the end of 2025, they parted ways, sparking speculation about his return to the PGA Tour.

Come mid-January, Koepka confirmed he would be rejoining the PGA Tour through the Returning Member Program, an initiative designed to help elite players transition back into the competition. This was outlined in a memo by PGA Tour CEO Brian Rolup.

However, this comeback isn’t without its sacrifices; Koepka is set to miss out on between $50 million and $85 million in earnings due to a five-year restriction preventing him from acquiring stock from the player equity program, in addition to a commitment to donate $5 million to charity.

He acknowledged the challenges ahead, saying, “It’s meant to hurt, and it certainly hurts, but I understand. It’s not going to be an easy road. There’s a lot of people who were hurt when I left, and I understand that’s part of coming back.”

As the Farmers Insurance Open approaches, Koepka discussed how family played a role in his decision to return.

He mentioned, “A lot has happened with my family over the past five or six months. It was a tough conversation with my wife and my team, but it was what was best for me and my family. Everyone thought it was the right decision.”

Sims had shared in October that they experienced a miscarriage, and while Koepka didn’t detail personal matters, he expressed fulfillment in being a father to their 2-year-old son, Crew.

“Being a father has made me grow as a person,” he said, emphasizing his desire to set a good example for his child.

On the first day of the Farmers Insurance Open, Koepka was 2 over par after 14 holes at Torrey Pines.
