Jenna Bush Hager Recalls The Time She Got “Humiliated” At Her Ex-Boyfriend’s Baseball Game: “I Wasn’t Taylor Swift”

After Taylor Swift showed up at this weekend's Chiefs vs. Buffalo Bills game. today Host Jenna Bush Hager recalled the time she was “humiliated” while rooting for her ex-girlfriend at a high school baseball game.

Bush Hager confessed to co-host Hoda Kotb that he was “dating some athletes at the time,” and clarified, “They were high school athletes. There's no need to be careful.”

she continued. “I was dating a baseball player in high school and we were at this big game and everyone was there…I was sitting with my friends and all of a sudden, [pop up] The ball flew high into the air, directly above me. ”

“So I get into a fetal position and try to lunge at my friend to save my life. It doesn't save me,” she said. “I got hit in the back really hard. There's a noise like a drum banging and the whole game stops. People come up to me and ask, 'Are you okay?' Everyone's stopped. It's humiliating. ”

of today The host added, “That was one thing where I wasn't Taylor Swift. I was like a nerd who couldn't move fast enough.”

Kotb was more worried about how her then-boyfriend would react. “My question is what did he say to you after the game?” she asked.

“I'm sure he was like, 'Are you OK?' But I was so humiliated in that moment that it didn't matter,” Bush Hager responded. “The humiliating element of being hit by the ball and having the game stopped…Also, it kind of hurts and brings tears to my eyes.”
