Jenna Ortega Stuns at InStyle Imagemaker Awards
Jenna Ortega made a notable impression at the InStyle Imagemaker Awards with her latest red carpet appearance.
The 23-year-old star of “Wednesday” donned a sheer purple dress that featured a plunging neckline and delicate lace detailing on the bodice. The skirt came with a daring thigh-high slit, showing off her undergarments beneath the slightly darker fabric.
She complemented her outfit with a fluffy burgundy jacket, silver high heels, a drop necklace, and a ring on her right hand. Her hair and makeup appeared minimalist, characterized by her trademark bleached eyebrows and a dark lip color, and she wore her hair parted in the center.
Ortega attended to honor stylist Enrique Melendez, who received the Future of Fashion Award. She expressed her admiration for him during her speech, saying he was “one of the first people to make me feel seen and heard.”
Reflecting on her early experiences in the industry, Ortega stated, “When you grow up in an industry like this, you learn to be a puppet and stand there and do what you’re told.” She expressed her gratitude for Melendez, noting he always treated her words with importance and respect.
The actress, known for her role in “Beetlejuice,” has previously discussed the complexities of being a child actor. In a 2024 interview, she mentioned that “child acting is weird” and understood the reluctance some parents have about it. She believes that without the acting experience, her personality might be different. “Kids shouldn’t be working like that,” she said, insisting they should have the freedom to engage in normal childhood activities like climbing trees or drawing.
She reminisced about her early auditioning days, which involved long hours in casting offices and encounters with various eccentric personalities that sometimes made her feel uneasy. “For a while, I started to get really scared of other people. Then I think I became more introverted,” she revealed. However, she found solace in returning home, where she could connect with her family and focus on her schoolwork.
Ortega first gained recognition as a middle child in the Disney Channel series “Stuck in the Middle,” later skyrocketing to fame as Wednesday Addams in the Netflix adaptation “Wednesday.” This role dramatically raised her profile, earning her nominations for several prestigious awards.
Although she wasn’t nominated for the 2025 Emmy Awards, Ortega joined her “Wednesday” co-star Catherine Zeta-Jones as a presenter. She dazzled in a striking ensemble featuring strategically placed jewels and pearls, matched with a black skirt that had a thigh-high slit.
She shared a snap from the Emmy ceremony on Instagram, where fans flooded the comments with admiration.
Jenna Ortega continues to impress, not just with her fashion choices but also with her candid reflections on her journey through the complexities of childhood fame.
