Jennifer Aniston and Reese Witherspoon Celebrate 25 Years of Friendship
Jennifer Aniston and Reese Witherspoon’s long-standing friendship has taken a surprising turn. During a recent playful quiz session, they uncovered some personal details about each other that caught them both off guard.
Witherspoon, who is 49, posed some tricky questions to Aniston, 56, in a segment dubbed “Do you know me?” It quickly turned from a lighthearted game to something a bit more revelatory.
One of Witherspoon’s challenges involved her middle name, providing Aniston with three choices: Jane, Jeanne, and Joan. Aniston guessed “Jane,” but Witherspoon quickly corrected her, revealing that the correct answer is “Jeanne.” However, the game took an unexpected twist when Witherspoon disclosed that her full name isn’t “Reese” at all.
“It’s confusing. I’m Laura Jeanne,” she shared, leaving Aniston visibly shocked. “Laura Jeanne?” Aniston repeated, trying to comprehend this new information.
Witherspoon explained that she chose “Reese,” after her mother’s maiden name, when she started her acting career in the early ’90s. Though Aniston’s reaction remained light-hearted, she humorously questioned, “Who is Laura? What? Laura from Hell?”
In a playful moment, Aniston noted the resemblance to Marilyn Monroe’s original name, “Norma Jean,” to which Witherspoon agreed, adding, “Looks like Laura Jeanne Reese.”
The revelations kept coming. Witherspoon turned the tables, admitting she didn’t know Aniston’s middle name, which is “Joanna.” Aniston’s revelation was met with disbelief, as Witherspoon exclaimed, “What?! When I found out about it, I was old today,” she laughed.
With a nod to their cherished history in Hollywood, this delightful exchange highlighted their incredible bond that dates back to 2000 — the year witherspoon guest-starred on “Friends.” Aniston was, of course, iconic as Rachel Green, while Witherspoon played Rachel’s sister, Jill Green.
