Jennifer Garner Reflects on Difficult Divorce from Ben Affleck

Jennifer Garner recently shared her thoughts on her divorce from Ben Affleck, highlighting that the toughest aspect was the disruption of their family and the loss of their “true partnership.”

The actress, known for her role in “Last Thing He Told Me,” discussed her feelings about the media’s portrayal of their 2015 split during a rare interview. She mentioned, “I don’t accept gossip about myself or others, especially when it involves my children, because it doesn’t do me any good,” she explained in a conversation with Marie Claire.

“You have to know your limits. I couldn’t manage what was out there. But honestly, what was out there wasn’t that tough,” she added.

Garner expressed how challenging it was to see her family split up, emphasizing the emotional toll of losing her partnership and friendship with Affleck. “It’s true that it’s been tough. Losing that strong bond is hard,” she said.

The couple, who were married for a decade, officially finalized their divorce in October 2018. Together, they have three children: Violet (20), Seraphina (17), and Samuel (13).

Though she and her recent boyfriend, John Miller, have parted ways, Garner still spends significant time with Affleck for the sake of their family.

Last month, Garner and Miller were photographed exchanging gifts in Los Angeles before Christmas. Not long before that, she was seen with Affleck and their daughter enjoying a night at the theater.

The trio attended a performance of “Stereophonic” at the Hollywood Pantages Theater. Garner has maintained a friendship with Jennifer Lopez, Affleck’s wife from 2022 to 2024, even after his divorce from her.

Sources have noted that Affleck and Garner’s relationship remains strong due to their long history together and their shared commitment as co-parents. Even during his difficult moments with Lopez, Affleck has been observed spending time with Garner and their kids, signaling a sense of security that he feels with her.
