Jennifer Lopez Responds to Alex Rodriguez Rumors
Jennifer Lopez isn’t making a fuss about her past relationship with Alex Rodriguez. During her appearance on “Watch What Happens Live” recently, host Andy Cohen brought up rumors regarding Rodriguez and “Southern Charm” star Madison LeCroy, suggesting there was some communication between them during Lopez and Rodriguez’s engagement.
Cohen seriously told Lopez, “If you don’t ask me this next question, you’re going to die in the Bravoverse.” He then probed about earlier speculation that Rodriguez had been messaging a cast member, which might have contributed to their breakup. “Is there anything you’d like to say about that?” he pressed.
After pausing for a moment, Lopez stated, “You know, I have nothing more to say about my personal life. I feel like it’s over.” The audience responded with applause, indicating their support.
Lopez and Rodriguez began dating in 2017 and got engaged in March 2019. However, reports of their split surfaced in March 2021. They issued a joint statement indicating they were better off as friends.
At that time, speculation arose that Rodriguez had been texting LeCroy, leading to rumors about why Lopez ended things. During a reunion episode of “Southern Charm” in early 2021, LeCroy acknowledged messaging with a married baseball player but denied flying to Miami to meet him.
LeCroy also suggested in a later interview that Rodriguez had reached out to her regarding her co-star, claiming, “I’m being tricked by a catfish. The guy I’m dating.” She maintained that she had never met Rodriguez in person.
She also hinted that she rejected any advances from him, saying, “If you’re looking for a side chick, that wasn’t going to be me. I’m like a wife.” At the time of the alleged interactions, Kroll, who was dating LeCroy, recalled Rodriguez repeatedly FaceTiming him, leading to some tension.
Despite these claims, Rodriguez’s representatives dismissed LeCroy’s assertions, stating, “Her 15 minutes of fame are over and she’s about to earn her 16 minutes.” They urged for an end to what they termed false stories, claiming they had been untrue from the start and continued to be so.
