Jennifer Lopez Reflects on Narcissism and Life Changes
Jennifer Lopez recently shared insights about her experiences with narcissists, joking that she could teach a seminar on emotional intelligence and dysfunctional relationships. “I could probably give a Ted Talk about it,” she quipped, laughing as she mentioned how it’s like earning a “narcissist’s Ph.D.”
During an interview with her “Office Romance” co-star Brett Goldstein, Lopez talked about her perspective on personal growth and relationships. “This is a good time for me. It feels like a new chapter,” she remarked, explaining that her recent projects are a reflection of various life changes she’s experienced lately. “The past year has truly been one of the best times of my life.”
She reflected on other key moments in her life, including the birth of her children, recalling it as a magical time. Lopez, who finalized her divorce from Ben Affleck last year, has had a tumultuous personal life, having been married four times. Her first marriage was to actor Ojani Noa for a brief year from 1997 to 1998, followed by two years with backup dancer Chris Judd from 2001 to 2003.
Lopez did share a bit about her relationship with Affleck, which included a lengthy engagement that ended in 2004. They rekindled their romance in 2021, announcing their second engagement the following year and marrying. However, they divorced again by 2024.
Her longest marriage was with singer Marc Anthony, with whom she shares twins born in 2008. They married in June 2004 and ended things in 2014. Lopez described how significant her experiences have been for her personal development, emphasizing the joy found in living and learning.
“It changed me,” she explained in a candid moment. “I’m a different person than I was last year… I’ve realized that embracing life and its lessons is where true joy lies.”
