Jennifer Lopez and Matt Damon reportedly had a lengthy one-on-one chat at an after-party for their film “Unstoppable,” which premiered at the Toronto International Film Festival on Friday.
Lopez, 55, starred in the film, which was produced by her soon-to-be ex-husband Ben Affleck, 51, and Damon, 53. While Affleck was absent from the “Unstoppable” premiere and after-party, Lopez and Damon posed for group photos on the red carpet with the rest of the cast, including Jharrel Jerome, Bobby Cannavale and Don Cheadle.
A source told People magazine that the “On the Floor” hitmaker and Oppenheimer were later seen talking for more than 20 minutes at the after-party, which was held at the Ritz-Carlton's Epoch Bar & Kitchen Terrace.
“Jen and Matt started talking and had a long, deep talk,” a source told the outlet, noting that Lopez and Damon were seen laughing, but then the conversation got more serious and they “held hands” for several minutes.

Sources said the conversation took place after Damon was joined by his wife, Luciana Damon, who was seated at an outdoor table with Lopez and Cheadle.

“Unstoppable” tells the inspiring story of Anthony Robles, a wrestler who was born with one leg. Artist Equity, Damon and Affleck co-founded the production company Lopez stars as Robles' mother, Judy.
The two-time Grammy nominee also served as a producer on the biographical sports drama through her company, Nuyorican Productions.

Jharrel Jerome plays the lead role of Robles in Unstoppable, which also stars Cannavale, Cheadle and Michael Peña.
Lopez turned heads as she walked the red carpet in a revealing metallic silver dress with black velvet ribbons tied at the side, paired with silver platform stiletto heels and a matching silver clutch bag.
Meanwhile, Affleck was spotted strolling through a building's garage in Los Angeles on Friday wearing a dark blue suit and sunglasses.
“Unstoppable” marks the latest film collaboration for the former “Gigli” couple. (2003) and Jersey Girl (2004).

The Toronto premiere marked Lopez's first public appearance since filing for divorce from Affleck on Aug. 20, the second anniversary of the former couple's wedding in Georgia.
According to documents obtained by Fox News Digital, the “Atlas” star listed the separation date as April 26 and cited “irreconcilable differences” as the reason for the split.

Affleck and Lopez met on the set of “Gigli” in 2002 and became engaged. Affleck proposed and they were engaged in 2004, but the wedding was called off at the last minute.

“What a joy, what a pleasure it is to do something with her and see her look amazing, go to work with my wife, go to work with my best friend,” he said.
“I think that if you don't like the people you work with or have difficulties or troubles at work, that can really be one of the causes of depression, anxiety, and distress. [if] If you love the people you work with, you're probably living a good life.”
