Jennifer Lopez Responds to Critics During Vegas Show
Jennifer Lopez recently hit back at critics who accused her of flaunting her body in an unfiltered manner. The pop star took the stage clad in a daring bodysuit during the launch of her “Jennifer Lopez: Up All Night Live in Las Vegas” residency on December 30. She addressed the negativity in a video that circulated widely across social media platforms.
“Thank goodness I’ve been doing this for so long. I can brush off a lot of it,” she shared with the audience. “It’s not truly meaningless. I often tell my kids that.” After making her point, she briefly turned away and, well, shook it up a bit in the video clip.
Lopez made light of some comments she had received, saying, “They can be funny sometimes, so I have to laugh,” as she showcased her confidence. She recounted some of the less favorable remarks: “Why does she always dress like that? Can’t she wear something more age-appropriate? Why does she seem to be naked all the time?”
Then she playfully responded, saying, “If you had this booty, you’d be naked too,” before moving energetically in her eye-catching sequined ensemble. The audience appeared to thoroughly enjoy the performance, showing no reservations about her bold display.
This marks her first residency since her earlier stint from 2016 to 2018, where she performed 120 shows at Planet Hollywood Resort & Casino. “Up All Night” is set to feature three performances from December 31 to January 3, along with additional shows planned for March 2026 at Caesars Palace.
