Jennifer Lopez subtly criticizes Marc Anthony while joking about parenting twins 'with minimal assistance'

Jennifer Lopez has spoken out about her experience as a mother, saying that ex-husband Marc Anthony didn’t provide much assistance while raising their twins, Emme and Max.

In a recent appearance on the “SmartLess” podcast, Lopez shared her feelings about her children, who are now preparing for college—a milestone that has left her feeling quite emotional.

“It’s just incredible. I can look back at my life now and feel grateful for what I’ve created for myself,” the 56-year-old actress expressed to hosts Jason Bateman, Sean Hayes, and Will Arnett.

She also mentioned that both of her children applied to various colleges, earned scholarships, and are headed to their desired schools.

Lopez reflected on her parenting journey, saying, “You know, it was a bit… ‘You didn’t do it all by yourself,’ which is truly astonishing. There was little help, right?”

Page Six reached out to Anthony for a comment but has yet to hear back.

These remarks come about a month after Anthony seemingly missed Emme’s high school graduation. Lopez attended the event alongside her son Samuel, where Emme introduced her new name, “Oscar Muniz.”

Anthony was also absent from Max’s graduation ceremony earlier this month.

The couple, who were married from 2004 to 2014, welcomed their twins in February 2008.

Earlier this year, Lopez opened up about her “really tough” divorce from Anthony.

At her Las Vegas residency, she joked that her life improved after her third divorce, but soon added that it was actually a challenging period.

Lopez shared how she struggled as a single mother with young twins and almost felt like giving up at times. During that difficult time, she sought guidance from her mentor, Louise Hay.

She recalled a conversation where Hay encouraged her to keep going, likening life’s challenges to learning to dance. “I’ll keep going until I get it right,” she responded. Hay’s words stayed with her: “Please keep dancing.”

Throughout her life, Lopez has been married four times, to Ojani Noa, Chris Judd, and Ben Affleck. Currently, she is single.

In 2023, Anthony tied the knot with model Nadia Ferreira, who is expecting their eighth child.
