Jennifer Love Hewitt is fighting ageism in Hollywood.
Hewitt has been in the spotlight for decades, but has fought back against critics who harshly criticized her appearance as she grew up in the industry.
“Age is age,” she told FOX News Digital. “I think this really applies to women… accepting themselves and being comfortable in their beautiful 40s.”

The “Holiday Junkie” star said she loves the age she is now, but confessed that the hardest part is how people react to her getting older.
“But the tough times for me…I feel like the fans chose me…this age that I love and that they think represents me, and that I'll never outgrow.” he explained, quoting Taylor Swift.
In Hewitt's case, she found that her fans primarily idolized her when she was in her 20s. Hewitt previously appeared on the cover of Maxim magazine at just 17 years old, pointing out the irony of not fully understanding what it meant to be sexy at a young age.
Well, since the Hollywood actress became a mother of three children, her perspective on how her fans view her has changed.
“I have a daughter, and I'm sensitive to this because I don't want my kids to read stuff like that and feel the same way…or worry that I'll be hurt by it. No…sometimes it’s hard to do that.”
The Hewitt daughters seem to be following in their parents' acting footsteps. They were involved in a Christmas movie. ”holiday junkie.”
The Lifetime movie, which is the first Christmas movie that Hewitt has directed, focuses on her character, Andy, as he spends the holidays during a difficult time after losing his mother.

Her character faces difficult times, but her spirits are lifted when she finds an unexpected Christmas romance.
Her on-screen lover is played by her real-life husband, Brian Hallisay. The couple first met on the set of the Lifetime movie Love Bites and married in November 2013. They have three children: Autumn, 11, Atticus, 9, and Aidan, 3.

Hewitt has been an actress since she was a child and spoke to Fox News Digital about the advice she would give her younger self.
“I've always been a worrier,” she said. “I was always anxious… I really enjoyed the job. [thought] This is going to be my last time or… people are going to kick me out of Hollywood and not let me act anymore. ”
“Or that I was going to be stupid…whatever it was. I was always worried…I definitely enjoyed it and was present…having a good time and all those things. But I wasted a lot of time worrying. And I'm like, “Look, it's going to be fine. You're going to get older, and they're still going to do a lot of things to you. He'll let you…it's okay.”
