“Jeopardy!” fans did a double take on Monday night's game show.
Contestant David Erb, who bears a striking resemblance to actor Clint Eastwood, is a puzzle designer from Seattle, Washington, and the show's reigning champion.
Fans were quick to point out that the popular game show features an Eastwood lookalike.

“David looks like a few different people, Clint Eastwood being one of them,” a Jeopardy! fan wrote on Reddit.
Another person shared on X (formerly Twitter): “Am I the only one who sees David on #Jeopardy and is reminded of a young Clint Eastwood?”

A Jeopardy! fan quipped, “In an alternate timeline, David would be working as a stuntman for Clint Eastwood on location in the desert while continuing his astrophysics hobby.”
Several viewers continued their observations of Eastwood, adding that the “Jeopardy!” contestant was doing Eastwood's “signature squint and all.”

Game show fans were enthralled by Erb's resemblance to Eastwood, but he also proved to be a formidable player on “Jeopardy!”
After hitting both Daily Doubles during the Double Jeopardy round, Erb won $30,000.

The celebrity lookalike contestant was as stumped as the rest of the contestants by the clue in the final question, which was in the category “19th Century Americans.”
The prompt read: “Among those attending his funeral in 1864 were Ralph Waldo Emerson, Bronson Alcott, and Franklin Pierce.”
Erb guessed Henry Adams, betting $12,345, but got the answer wrong.
The correct answer was “Who was Nathaniel Hawthorne?”
Still, the “Jeopardy!” contestant won the episode, taking home $17,655.

Last week, contestant Father Steve Jakubowski made his first appearance on the Sept. 19 episode, and the Catholic priest quickly gained a legion of fans.
“There's a hot priest on Jeopardy. Help,” one person wrote to X.
“Hot priest in danger tonight. A little win I need,” another comment read.
