“Danger!'' Fans are quick to criticize contestants for mistakes or omissions, and this week's episode's gaffe was no exception.
During the game, which aired Thursday, players were presented with a category called “New Jazz.” One of the clues there read: “Jazz trumpeter Keyon Harrold can be heard on the late rapper's 'Stay,' seen here.” A photo of Mac Miller, the popular rapper who passed away in 2018, has been released.
None of the contestants recognized Miller, and viewers reacted in disbelief on social media.

“Oh my god, they showed his picture as a clue on Jeopardy and no one could figure out Mac Miller?!” one person wrote on X (formerly Twitter).
Yesterday, someone posted, “I was upset because no one knew who Mac Miller was on Jeopardy last night.”
Some seemed even more upset that the contestants didn't reveal the rapper's name, with one commenting: “The current Jeopardy clue had a photo of Mac Miller, so who are these people?” No one even guessed. SM.”

On September 7, 2018, Miller (real name Malcolm James McCormick) was found unresponsive in his Los Angeles home. He was pronounced dead shortly thereafter, and a subsequent autopsy determined that he had accidentally overdosed on a deadly cocktail of fentanyl, cocaine, and alcohol. He was 26 years old.

Stephen Andrew Walter, Ryan Michael Reavis and Cameron James Pettit were each charged with supplying drugs to Miller.
Mr. Walter was sentenced in 2022 to 17 1/2 years in prison and five years of supervised release for distributing the fentanyl involved in Mr. Miller's death. He sold fentanyl to Reavis, who was sentenced to nearly 11 years in prison that same year.
After Reavis obtained the drug from Walter, he allegedly sold it to Pettit, who then sold it to Miller. Prosecutors have argued that Miller believed the fentanyl was actually oxycodone, and Walter's mother told Walter's sentencing court that there was no way her son would have intentionally taken fentanyl and that “my son wanted to live.'' “I was excited about the future.”
