Fans of the show took to Reddit to express their support for the contestants, with one saying: “Tonight we learned there is no i on Jeopardy.”
One fan wrote: “Ok. The failure on ‘Final Jeopardy’ was no surprise since the title of a known song was changed in the movie.” “Before the movie came out, I knew people who were referring to the song without the ‘I’ in the title.”
“That was a massive Jeopardy troll,” another wrote. “They’re betting that you remember the movie title, not the full title.”
While most people argued that the answer should have been accepted, some defended the show and explained that they would miss the point if they submitted the wrong answer.

“No offense, but I don’t understand this. It’s 4 words,” one Reddit user wrote. “The song title remains the same. There’s no excuse for a movie that uses part of the title.”
This isn’t the first time pop culture-related questions have stumped contestants on the popular game show.
On a November 2023 episode of the show, another country music-related question stumped the contestants, leaving viewers wondering how they got the question wrong. The Double Jeopardy question reads, “This country superstar’s ‘Friends in Low Places’ was named CMA Single of the Year in 1991,” and Garth Brooks’ Photos were also posted.
Neither the written questions nor the visual aids were helpful to the contestants, and time ran out before the participants could respond.
