Jeremiah Estel Blair, 19, shoots parents over his upbringing

An Arizona teen who was “angry about his upbringing” tried to kill his parents hours after Mother’s Day, authorities said, but he had “planned it for years.” He was disappointed to learn that his parents had survived the disease attack.

Jeremiah Estelle Blair, 19, is suspected of fatally shooting his parents Monday morning inside their home in Chandler, about 32 miles from Phoenix, police said. The two were rushed to the hospital, where their wounds were treated.

The shabby-looking young man was arrested at the scene without incident, but quickly admitted to the shootings, which had apparently been years in the making, according to court documents obtained by police. Fox 10 claimed. He also complained about his childhood.

“[Blair] “The Chandler police detective stated that he was angry about his upbringing and felt that he was not treated as he should have been as a child,” Chandler police detectives wrote.

“[Blair] He said he had been planning the murder for years. [the victims]”

The original plan was to carry out the shooting on Mother’s Day, but it was instead postponed to a few hours later, court documents said.

When Blair’s father came downstairs around 5:30 a.m., his son was waiting with a gun and a video camera to record the shooting. AZ Family reported. Court documents say he spoke to his father about “this day coming” before he was shot in the forearm. According to the Arizona Republic.

Blair’s father ran back to the bedroom, but his mother, who came out to check on him, was shot in the chest, the newspaper reported.

According to court documents, he knew immediately after the shooting that his father was likely to survive, but was happy when he thought his mother was going to die.

“The defendant expressed remorse for the fact that his parents will continue to live,” court documents state, according to Fox 10.

“The defendant knew [his] action [were] Even though he was wrong, he still tried to shoot his parents. ”

Police said Blair is charged with two counts of attempted first-degree murder. He remains in custody.
