On the two-year anniversary of his near-fatal snowplow accident, Jeremy Renner is paying tribute to the men and women who saved his life.
On January 1, Renner shared a photo of herself from two years ago on Instagram, sitting in a hospital bed surrounded by medical staff.
“Happy New Year… Today, we're ringing out 'ReBirthday' for the second time,” his emotional caption began. “I send love, respect, and gratitude to the many people it took to get me back on my feet again. Thank you to each and every nurse, doctor, and paramedic…I literally give you my life. I owe you.

“My heart goes out to my beautiful and brave nephew and to the angels (my neighbors) who came to my rescue and endured the chaos for 45 minutes on the frozen asphalt on New Year's Day morning. Forgotten. I am so sorry for all the images that cannot be seen.'' It is imprinted on all of you (relieve all of you from the images of meat grinding)… ”

On January 1, 2023, Renner became ill and was airlifted to the hospital. Get run over by your own snowcat I was trying to tow a car stuck in the snow near my home in the Sierra Nevada mountains. He fractured more than 30 bones and was treated for blunt chest trauma and orthopedic injuries.
“My list of gratitude is very long….Thanks to the amount of love and prayers that have poured in from everyone around the world (and I need every single one of them), through divine intervention, my family has Never left my side. Luck and many miracles…I'm strong again,” Renner's caption continued.

Washoe County Sheriff's Department officers responded to the crash just before 9 a.m. after a neighbor reported that Renner was trying to help. His nephew, Alex Freese, Move a truck stuck in the snow. Renner got out of the snowplow to check on his nephew, but the plow continued to move. So he jumped onto the snowplow to stop it, but got caught in the tread.

After Renner was taken to the hospital, paramedics could be heard saying, “I've never seen anything like this.”
“What a disaster, dude,” Renner told Men's Health about his recovery. “Everything was terrible, like taking a shower or going to the bathroom.”

“They give me medication to keep me from going to the toilet, so I get constipated. And I pee in a bottle. It was the worst. That's when you know things aren't going well. I pee in a plastic jug. It took me 17 minutes to get out of bed. ”
