Jerry Jones can't help himself. The looming expansion of Mika Parsons is the most important business that Cowboys have to implement next year, a situation that requires the utmost respect and humility. The problem is that Jerry doesn't do much respect or humility.
So when Jones was asked about his negotiations, and more specifically his relationship with NFL superstar agent David Murgetta, he decided it was wise to sham him for no reason at all.
Jerry Jones has a blatant disrespect to Mika Parsons' agent David Murgetta: the agent is not worried here… I don't know his name. ”
Mulugheta is one of the most respected agents in the NFL.
Parsons is wise to hire Murugeta.– Clarence Hill JR (@clarencehilljr) April 1, 2025
Is it Jones or not? actually He knew his name was insignificant. There is a very clear intention here. This was essentially what the Cowboys would negotiate directly with Parsons and avoid the agents. Not only that, it's very obviously rude to say “I don't know his name.” Anyone You are about to do business.
Parsons doesn't get quiet when something like this happens, and he attacked very clearly about how Jones reacted.
Fact!! David is the best and I would not trade anything without it @davidmulugheta I got involved! Like a pleasant person, I hired a professional for a reason. No one I trust when it comes to negotiating a contract than David! There is no backdoor in this contract… https://t.co/nxknsixlvt

There is no other way to paint this, except for the monumental stupidity on Jones' side. Brass Tuck: The aura around Jones and the Cowboys is gone. He may have a hard time accepting it, but this is not 1992 anymore. It's not enough for Jerry Jones to try and negotiate things apart from cast agents.
All steps in the way he reduced Parsons' importance to the team. Even if you're trying to compile Parsons, it's off as a backhand and insult, Include this quote on the Cowboys' own website.
“Mika has to be the player he wants to be paid for, he has to be an incredible leader. Dallas CowboysJones said. “He has the skills and mentally capable, so to justify the kind of dollar we talk about with all grounds, he has to literally lead the way. And he's so substantive, if he's not leading halfway through, it's dazzling. And Mika really has to lead, I think he's committed to doing it.”
Having the star players jump from their commitment to “Cowboy Way” is not the way you infiltrate themselves into them. Shyping their agents is not the way you can get the deal. Jones simply can't get out of his own path, and he's hurting the Dallas Cowboys again for that.
