On Sunday, Cowboys star receiver CeeDee Lamb chalked up a dropped pass into the bright sun streaming through AT&T Stadium's large windows during Dallas' 34-6 loss to the Eagles.
“I couldn't see the ball. I couldn't see the ball at all,” Lamb told reporters. “It's the sun.”
The dropped pass was in the end zone. In other words, the sun directly impacts the Cowboys' points. Additionally, Lamb said he is “100 percent” in favor of installing curtains to prevent future touchdown passes from falling.
When Cowboys owner Jerry Jones heard Lamb's suggestion to use curtains, he reacted rationally and calmly.
“So let's tear down that damn stadium and build another one?” Jones shot back. “are you kidding me?”
But the Cowboys manager was just warming up.
“By the way, when we decide whether to toss a coin or not, we know where the sun is going to go,” Jones says. “We know where the sun will hit our stadium.
“Everyone has the same thing. Every team that comes in here has the same problem. What I'm saying is the world knows where the sun is. It's almost 1 You know, years ago, someone asked me about the sun. Where is the moon?”
The Cowboys won't be playing Moon this year.
