The former US lawyer for the Eastern District of Virginia, found dead on Saturday morning, was in charge of some of the largest cases targeting leaks of the CIA and Russian citizens.
Authorities are investigating Jessica Aber's cause of death after the 43-year-old was discovered by an Alexandria Police Department official not responding at her home just before 9:20am on Saturday.
Before resigning in January when President Trump took office, the attorney volunteered for Biden saw one of her biggest victories in court when 34-year-old former CIA analyst Asif Rahman pleaded guilty to leaking the finest secret documents about Israel's plan to hit Iran last year.
In the famous incident, Rahman posted a document detailing the October strike in Israel's Telegram, forcing the Jewish state to curb retaliatory attacks against Tehran.
Abbah had condemned Rahman's actions as “a violation of his oath, liability and law.” She said Leek “compensated his ability to gather important intelligence in the future, risking his life and undermining US diplomatic relations.”
