Rocker Tommy Lee has slammed fellow musicians who promoted their music during the Los Angeles wildfires. “Jesus, please leave me alone,” the Mötley Crüe drummer declared.
“It makes me so sick to see how most people just care about stupid social media posts!” Lee exclaimed in an Instagram post on Tuesday.
“Guys, now no one will ignore you when you record a drop or a drop. [when] The next concert will take place at a time when many people are in the midst of the greatest disaster in history!'' Lee continued.
“I understand that there is always a need for comic relief.[ed] But Jesus Christ, leave it alone and if you can, stop and see who needs help,” the Mötley Crüe drummer concluded in the post.
Lee did not name the musicians he mentioned, but one media outlet said British singer FKA Twigs and Puerto Rican rapper Bad Bunny have been promoting their new albums over the past week. report by daily mail.
Mötley Crüe referenced the Los Angeles wildfires in a Facebook post last week, writing, “To everyone affected by the devastating and unprecedented fires in our hometown of Los Angeles, we would like to express our deepest condolences during this extremely difficult time. Our thoughts are with you all at this time.”
“May you and your loved ones stay safe as we overcome this together,” the rock band added.
As Breitbart News reported, the wildfire broke out last week and spread rapidly due to strong winds, forcing residents to evacuate and causing historic destruction to homes.
As of this writing, there are reportedly four active wildfires burning simultaneously in the Pacific Palisades, Eaton, Hearst, and Haute areas. calfireThe report puts the Palisades Fire, which has destroyed a staggering 23,713 acres, only 22 percent contained.
The ongoing wildfires have burned a total of 40,695 acres in the Los Angeles area and destroyed more than 12,300 structures. Additionally, 24 deaths have been confirmed as of this writing.
