Jets’ Aaron Rodgers has ‘a lot of juice left’

Brett Favre is one of the few people who can relate to Aaron Rodgers, but he doesn't think he's a player who should consider retiring.

The former Packers, Jets and Vikings quarterback offered advice to Rodgers in a recent interview. TMZ Sports.

Favre, who has closely followed Rodgers' career since their time together in Green Bay, expressed confidence in the Jets QB's ability to bounce back and return to playing at a high level after a disappointing 2024 season.

“There's something left in him,” Favre insisted. “I think you’re right that he has a lot of juice left in the tank.”

Favre acknowledged the struggles that both Rodgers and the Jets faced last season, but believes Rodgers is too talented to fail.

“I think he can still play. You saw it in the last game. “So where was that?” Favre continued.

“That's the Aaron Rodgers we know. He's making every throw, the players are responding to him, and they love playing with him. Where's that been all year? ?

Favre was referring to Rodgers' performance in Week 18's season-ending 32-20 loss to the Miami Dolphins, when he threw for a season-high four touchdown passes and 274 yards through the air.

The Hall of Famer added, “If he has any desire to play and prove that he can still play at a high level, then I will do it.”

Rodgers, who missed all but one series of the 2023 season with a torn Achilles tendon, threw for 3,897 yards, 28 touchdowns, 11 interceptions and was sacked 40 times while completing 63 percent of his passes.

Rodgers, who turned 41 last month, is considering whether to play in 2025 and has expressed some interest in returning to the Jets if the new general manager and coach want him to return.
