Jets’ Aaron Rodgers undecided on his football future

Aaron Rodgers revealed little about his future with the Jets and the NFL after this season when he spoke to reporters Wednesday.

Rodgers, 41, was asked if his play this year will make him think more about what he wants to do after this season, but he remained cautious about his decision-making.

“It's going to take a little bit of time after this year is over unless I get released right away, but it's still going to take time whether I want to play or not,” the Jets quarterback said.

Questions surrounding Rodgers' future have only grown as the Jets' season spirals, with the signal-caller, and the team, proving inconsistent from week to week.

The Jets defeated the Jaguars on Sunday, but before that win they had lost four straight and nine of 10.

With 4 wins and 10 losses, they are one win away from the Patriots, who are at the bottom of the AFC East.

Rodgers threw for 3,255 yards and 23 touchdowns this season, completing 62.5 percent of his passes.

He is coming off one of his best performances of the season, throwing for three touchdowns and 289 yards in Jacksonville.

Interim head coach Jeff Ulbrich told reporters Monday that fans are starting to see “the real Aaron Rodgers.”

“He was hurt for a good portion of the season, but now that he's starting to get healthy, we're starting to see Aaron Rodgers, the real Aaron Rodgers.” Mr. Ulbrich said:.

Rodgers' tenure falls short of Super Bowl expectations when he arrives in the Big Apple in 2023.

His first season with the Jets ended as quickly as it began, when he suffered a season-ending injury during the team's first drive that year.

Even though Rodgers is back this year, things haven't gotten much better for the Jets, who fired both head coach Robert Saleh and general manager Joe Douglas midway through the season.
