Jets don’t make the grade in NFLPA survey with weaknesses

INDIANAPOLIS — The NFLPA released their scores Wednesday, but the Jets didn’t exactly make the honor roll.

The players’ association surveyed the players of each team on a variety of topics and distributed “results” to each team.

The Jets were ranked 21st overall out of 32 teams in the NFL.

Head coach Robert Saleh finished 24th and owner Woody Johnson 20th.

“The biggest issue facing teams is how the coaching staff manages their time, with respondents highlighting a lack of efficiency in scheduling,” the report said. “Some may think that teams would be more successful if they spent more time in the facility. However, league-wide data shows that this is not the case. Of the 10 teams we consider the worst, only two made the playoffs.

“Nutritionists are the only category/staff member where players are ranked in the top half compared to other clubs.”

This nutritionist/nutritionist finished 10th, the Jets’ best finish in the NFL.

Training staff finished 29th, putting the Jets last in the category.

Saleh was given a B grade.

According to the report, 72% of players felt Saleh was efficient with his time, ranking him 28th overall.

Johnson received a B-minus grade.
