His media appearances may have an impact on the decision, as reports swirl around that the New York Jets will move on from Aaron Rodgers this offseason.
Rodgers joined the Jets in the offseason ahead of the 2023 season after spending 18 years with the Green Bay Packers.
Before his departure, Rogers was caught up in several controversy. Most notably, when he said he was “vaccinated” against the Covid-19 virus. He also spoke lovingly about the hallucinogen Ayahuasca.
Then, shortly after his final match with the Packers, he went to the “Darkness Retreat.”

During this time, Rogers became the mainstay of ESPN's “The Pat McAfee Show” and was known to press envelopes.
Rogers continues to make controversial headlines during his appearance on the show. He called for Dr. Anthony Fauci for his vaccine measures, tied Jimmy Kimmel to Jeffrey Epstein, and laughed at “celebrity bought by China” ahead of the 2024 presidential election.
A new report from the athletic claim told the New Jets Brass that if they play for the Jets in 2025 they would not be allowed to appear on the show.
“I was like when they had a conversation with Aaron Rodgers about what the future would look like, “If you're part of this team, if you're going to be part of all training camps, you'll do that.” I was told I wasn't going to do it anymore, I'll be interviewing Pat McAfee,” Diana Lassini said on the “Scoop City” podcast. “They had a conversation with him.

The Jets hired Aaron Glenn as head coach last month and brought in Darren Moogie as general manager. Apparently, Glenn told Rogers that the quarterback must comply with Glenn's terms.
Rogers was an unclear absence from the forced minicamp that turned out to be a planned trip in Egypt. “If that's important to Aaron, that's important to us,” said Robert Sale, then head coach.
Perhaps Rogers' Jets time was over anyway. In a season when they had at least a playoff hope, they went 5-12 under center. And although he seemed to turn the clock back, most of the time he looked like 40 wrong side quarterbacks from a serious Achilles injury.

Perhaps the injury took Rogers and the running jet, but the team that lost two games in 2024 than Zack Wilson took over Rogers in 2024, and they were the ones who lost two games in 2024, and they were the ones who were able to get the davante. Even after adding Adams, it may be time to close the door.
