Jets Player Critiques NFL Officials After Ejection
During a tough game against the Jacksonville Jaguars, New York Jets defensive lineman Karen Sanders expressed strong criticism of NFL officials after being ejected for physical contact with an official. This incident unfolded in the third quarter of a disappointing 48-20 defeat.
The chaos began when the Jaguars attempted an extra point following a touchdown from Travis Etienne, leading to some pushing and shoving among players. In the midst of this, Sanders made contact with an official trying to separate the players, which ultimately resulted in his expulsion from the game.
Frustrated, Sanders took to social media to voice his outrage over the decision. He mentioned, “In seven years, there have been no ejections or unsportsmanlike conduct, except maybe for a preseason unnecessary roughness.”
In a follow-up tweet, he stated, “Try harder. @NFL @NFLOfficiating.” The playmaker had recently joined the Jets on November 17 after being let go by the Jaguars. Sunday marked his fourth game with the Jets, where he managed one tackle against Jacksonville.
Prior to this, Sanders had racked up a total of six tackles over five games this season. He previously had stints with the New Orleans Saints and the Kansas City Chiefs, where he was part of two Super Bowl championship teams.
