Jets mocked by former coach Robert Saleh's brother after winless beginning

Jets Struggle Without a Win This Season

The New York Jets find themselves in a disheartening position as the only NFL team without a victory this season. Head coach Aaron Glenn has praised his team’s efforts, but results haven’t followed suit. The organization responded to recent challenges by releasing two players shortly after a troubling incident involving the special teams.

Despite signs of progress, the team’s record—a staggering 3-14 over the last 17 games—paints a different picture. Fans on social media expressed their frustrations, echoing that sentiment felt by many within the organization.

David Saleh, brother of former Jets head coach Robert Saleh, criticized team owner Woody Johnson for his decision to fire Robert, suggesting it might not be the jolt the team needs. In a post on X, Saleh referenced Johnson’s claims about having the best roster in franchise history, while the Jets have consistently underperformed in recent games. Saleh hasn’t been very vocal since earlier this year, making his recent commentary stand out.

The Jets parted ways with Robert Saleh soon after a narrow loss to the Denver Broncos. Following this, the team’s then-general manager, Joe Douglas, acknowledged Johnson’s efforts in assembling the roster, yet he too was let go shortly after. Johnson had voiced strong support for the team’s potential at the time of Saleh’s dismissal but ultimately felt a change was necessary to spark some much-needed energy.

However, results have not been in their favor, with the team allowing an alarming average of 31.4 points per game, making them one of the worst defensive teams in the league this season. In contrast, the Baltimore Ravens lead the league, allowing 35.4 points.

Meanwhile, Saleh has taken on a new role as the defensive coordinator for the San Francisco 49ers, who are currently performing well in the NFC West.
