There's a new Jets duo in town.
Breece Hall and rookie Braylon Allen are now the mainstays of the Jets rushing attack and may soon be known as the B&B Boys.
Hall, a third-year back, is known for his speed and agility, while Allen, a 20-year-old rookie, is what Robert Saleh calls a “bulldozer.”
The pair scored three touchdowns together, one on a receiving streak each and one on the ground after Allen scored the game-winner, in a 24–17 win over the Titans that was a preview of what the Jets' future might hold.
The last time the Jets had two running backs score receiving touchdowns in the same game was in 30 years, when Richie Anderson and Johnny Johnson each caught one off Boomer Esiason against the Dolphins in 1994.
It's a big change for Hall, who shouldered the bulk of the rushing responsibilities while Dalvin Cook failed to deliver as expected last season. Hall and Allen are friends and found training partners in each other.
“[Allen] “He was a little shy and quiet at first, but then he noticed how much I was messing around and how goofy I was,” Hall told The Post on Tuesday. “I feel like he's grown up a little bit since I was a rookie. … He's really smart and understands the offense overall now. It's been great to see him grow little by little.” [opportunities]He played great during the operation and I'm very proud of him.”
Allen on Sunday became the youngest NFL player to score multiple touchdowns in a game and the first Jets rookie to record both a receiving and rushing touchdown in the same game.

“I knew who he was when I drafted him because I had heard this 17-year-old kid was playing at Wisconsin when I was playing in Green Bay. I couldn't believe it,” Aaron Rodgers said of Allen. “It's a good reminder of how special it is to still be playing at 40 years old.”
The pair are on track to become the driving force behind the offense under new running backs coach Tony Dews and will be put to the test Thursday against the Patriots, who are allowing the second-fewest rushing yards (116) this season at 3.3 yards per carry.
“You couldn't ask for a better situation to be in with a guy like Brees,” Allen told the Post. “The success that he's had very early in his career is something that I'd obviously like to emulate, so I couldn't ask for a better guy on my side.”
