It took less than an hour after the Jets' loss to the Vikings for head recruitment to begin.
Former WFAN host Mike Francesa said on his podcast Coach Robert Saleh and offensive coordinator Nathaniel Hackett should be on the chop block following the 23-17 loss.
“Everything leads to the same place. You put crime in the hands of men. [Hackett] He is completely incompetent,” Francesa said. “Despite his terrible record, and the fact that he took this team downhill down the stretch, I know that's what you see. And if I were the owner, Saleh… It won't be Coach anymore. You can't watch it anymore. You can't watch the same garbage week after week.
“I don’t want to touch the defensive coordinator.” [Jeff Ulbrich]I won't touch on his staff, but Saleh isn't the head coach anyway so I'm firing him. If he wants to be the defensive coordinator, he could stay. He can't be a head coach and he can't run a team.
“I would fire the offensive coordinator immediately because this team needs a new order and he has to be accountable to this team. Immediately.
“Goodbye! Enough is enough. I don't care what Rodgers says. Well, really? Do you like throwing three interceptions? Do you like getting hammered on every play-action fake? You kept this guy.” Do you like the fact that your career no longer looks like the same career? I make the decisions and you don't.

Saleh is 20-36 in three-plus seasons as the Jets' head coach after Sunday's loss.
“I'll listen to who Rodgers wants and if we can agree on a player that's available, we'll go get him. If not, I'll go pick up Frank Reich tomorrow and get him. He’ll be in charge of the offense,” Francesa said.
