After a busy early free agency period, the Jets still don’t get much respect from oddsmakers in Las Vegas.
With the NFL Draft still a month away with the No. 10 overall pick, Gang Green has beefed up his offensive line and added to his receiving corps.
But that wasn’t enough to get them into the early Super Bowl conversation.
The Jets are currently +3,000 to win the 2025 Lombardi Trophy, tied with the Falcons, Chargers and Rams for the 12th-best odds in the NFL at BetMGM Sportsbook. The Jets and Chargers are tied at +1600, which has him seventh-highest odds to win the AFC.
In the AFC East, BetMGM gives the Jets the third-best chance (+250) to win the division behind the Buffalo Bills (+130) and Miami Dolphins (+200).
The Jets hope to prove those predictions wrong by adding more protection up front.
Joe Douglas and others added Tyron Smith, Morgan Moses, and John Simpson to the offensive line, which was perhaps the team’s biggest weakness outside of the quarterback position.
They also added Mike Williams, who will pair with Garrett Wilson, who provides an excellent one-two punch at wide receiver.
The Jets, who finished 7-10 last season, will definitely improve through the draft.
The Jets are the betting favorite to draft tight end Brock Bowers (+230) at FanDuel Sportsbook.
