Jey Uso, Tiffany Stratton will win

WWE has set up two completely different fields for the men’s and women’s Money in the Bank matches.

While the men’s division is mostly main event level talent that, through a simple elimination process, ends up in a one-horse race against one worthy challenger in the field, the women’s division is always filled with performers looking for a career breakout to land at the top of the card.

No one is facing a more win-or-lose match than Jey Uso at Scotiabank Arena in Toronto on Saturday night (8 p.m. ET, Peacock).

In his previous singles career, Uso has lost matches for the WWE Universal Championship, World Heavyweight Championship and Intercontinental Championship, and failed to reach the King of the Ring finals.

He seems like an obvious candidate to grab the briefcase and hold the contract for a while, because he’ll likely be dragged back into the Bloodline feud this summer, and if he doesn’t win, there’s no telling when he’ll get his chance to win his first singles title in WWE.

It provides a logical explanation for why most of the other male competitors fail to win.

Carmelo Hayes is too early in his main roster career to be in a top card storyline. His character needs to tone down his overconfidence a bit before he can move forward. LA Knight is likely to win the US title from Logan Paul. Chad Gable is looking to start a feud with The Wyatt Thick 6, but he would have been Intercontinental Champion if WWE had faith in him. Andrade is a WWE Speed Champion and it doesn’t seem like WWE is positioning him to push.

Drew McIntyre Getty Images

Drew McIntyre is the only one who has any sense winning unless CM Punk comes back and betrays him a third time, and giving McIntyre the briefcase and thwarting Punk’s attempts to make money from it could make for an interesting storyline, but it’s not necessary for their feud.

Meanwhile, the women’s field has plenty of potential beyond Iyo Sky, who lost the WWE Women’s Championship to Bayley at WrestleMania and won Money in the Bank last year.

Tiffany Stratton WWE

Tiffany Stratton seems like the clear favorite to win the title. The 25-year-old former NXT Women’s Champion is one of WWE’s most main event-worthy young talents and is already at the center of a WWE Women’s Championship storyline thanks to her alliance with Queen Nia Jax. Handing Stratton the briefcase would only increase her star power and raise tension with Jax, who will face champion Bayley at SummerSlam.

Naomi is the next most interesting candidate outside of Stratton as she is very close with Bayley, has a connection with the crowd and is also a former world champion.

The other women shouldn’t have been fired either and the booking decision is not bad either.

Lyra Valkyrie is a former NXT Women’s Champion. Zoey Stark is the current host of Money in the Banks and was brought up by Trish Stratus and Shayna Baszler, who could lose the match due to their on-screen feud.

Chelsea Green will keep you entertained and highly entertained with its briefcase and fun diversions.

There are some other great options, but Uso and Stratton feel like this is the best option.
